PETALING JAYA: In an attempt to avoid arrest, a group of five men in a car damaged several vehicles and motorcycles along Jalan SS2/35 here before landing in a drain.
Police later found the unemployed men, aged 19 to 34, were in possession of drugs, believed to be heroin, packed in six small tubes made from cut-up drinking straws.
Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Zani Che Din said the incident occurred at around 2pm on Wednesday (Nov 13) when a motorcycle patrolling unit from the Seapark police station tailed a car that was being driven suspiciously.
“They tried to pull the car over, but the driver accelerated and, in his attempt to escape, hit several cars and motorcycles along the road before ending up in a ditch,” he said.
The group of men also tested positive for drugs.
Police also found a machete and a pair of nunchucks in the car.
