KUALA LUMPUR: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail (pic) hopes PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali will attend the PKR political bureau meeting on Wednesday (Nov 20).
“It would be good if he goes to the meeting, the (PKR) political bureau meeting,” Wan Azizah, who is the PKR advisory council chairman, told reporters at the Parliament lobby on Tuesday (Nov 19).
It has been reported that Azmin has not attended PKR leadership meetings for about a year, despite public reminders by colleagues and the top leadership.
Prior to Wan Azizah’s statement, it was reported that Fahmi Fadzil was urging all of PKR’s leaders to attend the political bureau meeting on Wednesday night after reports surfaced that there had been a gathering involving several Barisan Nasional and PKR MPs at Datuk Seri Azmin Ali’s official residence in Putrajaya.
According to the PKR communications director, the meeting – which involved some 22 Barisan and five PKR MPs at Azmin’s official residence at Presint 10, Putrajaya on Monday (Nov 18) – would be discussed in the weekly political bureau meeting.
