BANGKOK (ANN): Bangkok Governor Pol Gen Aswin Kwanmuang has launched a campaign organised by the Bangkok Metropolitan Authority (BMA) to give away seedlings as a new year gift to citizens on Tuesday (Dec 3) at Eden of Central World.

The campaign will allow people to participate in increasing the green space and reducing air pollution, resulting in a beautiful city landscape dotted with yellow flowers.

BMA is giving away one million seedlings of plants that produce yellow flowers, such as yellow star, Burma paduak, yellow bell, silver trumpet, kalamona, and copperpot.

Yellow represents the day of birth of both the late Monarch and of His Majesty King Rama X.

The campaign has received the support from the public and private sector with seeds coming from the Royal Forest Department.

People will be able to share the growth of the trees through a mobile application called We Grow on social media. -The Nation/Asia News Network
