TAMPIN: Three men were found dead with slash wounds at the workers’ quarters of an oil palm plantation in Gemencheh, near here.

Negri Sembilan deputy police chief SAC Che Zakaria Othman said they arrested three other Indonesian plantation workers aged between 29 and 42 to assist investigations.

All three suspects lived in the same quarters. We will apply for a remand order for them – all with valid travel and work documents – at the Magistrate’s Court here.

“We are also looking for two others known as Razak @ Ojak and Ari in our probe,” he said on Friday (Dec 6).

SAC Che Zakaria said a police team was sent to Ladang Chin Fatt after hearing of a fight there around 12.05am.

“A police team found the bodies of the three victims, all Indonesians, in a room. They had multiple injuries, believed to have been caused by sharp weapons,” he said.

He said police found a sickle and a knife, both with blood on them, at the crime scene.

SAC Che Zakaria said the initial probe revealed that the incident happened around 10.30pm Thursday (Dec 5).

“The three victims worked in another plantation and went there to meet a friend,” he said.

He said police have not been able to identify the three victims as they did not have identification papers on them.

Their remains have been sent to the Tuanku Ja’afar Hospital in Seremban for post-mortem examination.

The case is being probed under section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

He appealed to anyone with information about the incident to call the Tampin police station at 06-441 1222 or the nearest station.
